To help with physical distancing in our store on central campus, we are now scheduling appointments for our Smart Desk in Tech Connect. Our experienced staff in Tech Connect is ready to help with hardware and software purchasing consultation, new device setup, repair service intake and 30 minutes of complimentary troubleshooting. These services are available by appointment.

Repairs

Our trusted partner, The Computing Center, provides authorized warranty repair on Dell and HP computers, regardless of where the device was purchased. Repair service is also available for out-of-warranty equipment. Conveniently drop off and pick up your device at Tech Connect in The Cornell Store. In general, repair services take 3-7 business days. The hourly rate is $70 an hour with a minimum estimate charge of $70 (unless the device is under warranty). Please schedule an appointment at Tech Connect to drop off your computer for repair:




You can also bring your equipment directly to The Computing Center, located at 15 Thornwood Drive in the Cornell Business & Technology Park (near the Tompkins Regional Airport). The Computing Center is an authorized warranty repair center for:
  • Dell
  • Hewlett Packard (HP) Servers, Computers, Laptops, and Printers
  • Xerox Printers

Cornell Information Technologies (CIT) manages the campus network and computer services for students, faculty, and staff. The IT Service Desk can assist with questions or problems regarding Wi-Fi connectivity (eduroam, etc.), or any other centrally-supported services.
