Certification Training Manual for Commercial Pesticide Applicators and Technicians (NY Subcategory 7a). This training manual prepares commercial pesticide applicators and technicians who are seeking certification to use and/or (in the case of applicators) supervise the use of pesticides (excluding fumigants) in, on, or around food-handling establishments (excluding food-processing areas); dwellings; institutions such as schools and hospitals; industrial establishments, including any other structures and adjacent areas, public or private; and for the protection of stored, processed, or manufactured products. Target pests include those associated with structures (excluding termites and post-construction wood-destroying organisms), such as but not limited to, rodents, roaches, ants, fleas, ticks, and stinging or biting insects.
